Protective Windows for Handheld and Portable XRF Analyzers

Protective windows, also known as "thin film", is commonly used to protect the detector and other internal parts of a handheld XRF analyzer from dust and debris. Typical window materials include Ultralene(TM) and Kapton(TM). If an analyzer has vacuum capability, then gridded windows are offered to add strength to the windows so that the vacuum does not rupture the the window film.
