Applications

Applications

Oil and lubricant analysis

Asphaltenes, a nuisance for oil refineries everywhere. They tend to flocculate unpredictably, clogging the refinery and causing expensive shut-downs. Asphaltenes are solubility class compounds, and contain vanadyl and nickel porphyrins as well as aromatic hydrocarbons that are EPR active. The microESR provides an ideal, portable EPR sensor for detecting these compounds that disrupt the refining process.

Brukers Benchtop Education Bundle

To introduce the upcoming generation of scientists to EPR technique, we have developed the ideal teaching package that includes and affordable and easy-to-use instrument together with a suite of practical experiments, instructional guides and an introduction to the basic theory of EPR spectroscopy.

Monomer Control in Styrene Production

Polymerization reactions during the industrial processes in which they are synthesized and purified. To avoid this undesired phenomenon, polymerization inhibitors such as (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl) oxidanyl (TEMPO) and its analogues are added to the monomer reaction system.
beer_freshness

Beer Freshness (EPR)

Only method to measure how materials, process design and operations can damage or optimize beer freshness throughout the entire beer production cycle.
EPR_Edible oil

Edible Oil Analysis (EPR)

During the past two decades, the food industry has transitioned to the use of natural plant extract-based antioxidants in a variety of food products. The goal is to protect the shelf life of products from free radical oxidation without the use of traditional synthetic food additives.
Crude oil

ESR Analysis of Asphaltene and Vanadium in Crude Oil Can Determine its Quality

肾阳ghly one-third of the world's energy currently comes from crude oil. The quality of oil is determined by its chemical composition, which can affect its processing, performance, and market price. Therefore, qualitative and quantitative oil condition monitoring is essential.
