Preclinical imaging plays an important role in the understanding of biological processes in both healthy and diseased states and of responses to pharmacological, physiological or environmental challenges. The use of state-of-the-art analytical technologies can significantly advance clinical diagnosis and therapy routines.
Bruker is a renowned provider of state-of-the-art preclinical imaging technologies, ranging from Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) to its youngest imaging technology, Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI). With our mission to develop each imaging technology to its best, Bruker drives innovation in new methodologies and solutions for scientists enabling ground-braking discoveries.
Bruker constantly advances Magnetic Particle Imaging in the preclinical area, paving the translational way to clinical perspectives. The use of nanomaterials and their specific response to external magnetic fields is not only crucial for molecular imaging, but opens the door to the development of novel theranostic strategies, which in turn can improve patient outcomes and save lives.
Be inspired by the recent achievements of our outstanding MPI community in the life sciences and join us to take molecular imaging to the next level.
独家合作的结果,MPIsystem combines Bruker’s leading expertise in analytical magnetic resonance instruments and preclinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with Philips’ unique strengths in medical imaging.
MPI is a completely new preclinical imaging technique with enormous potential to deliver new strategies to understand disease processes at the organ, cellular and molecular level. With the new MPI system, Bruker further complements its extensive preclinical imaging product portfolio that includes MRI, PET, SPECT and micro-CT.
Three-dimensional images at millisecond intervals, providing the potential for real-time 3D imaging in vivo
MPI is a tomographic imaging technique that detects the magnetic properties of iron-oxide nanoparticles injected into the bloodstream to produce threedimensional images. The new technology, invented by Philips, and first introduced in a 2005 Nature paper, gave rise to a high aspirations for a new era in biological imaging.
Now Bruker has combined its expertise in technological innovation with its passion for pushing the boundaries of understanding, and launched the previously only envisioned possibilities to the imaging community.
1,000 Times Faster Than PET
With MPI, imaging of up to 46 volumes per second can be performed, allowing real time imaging of biological processes at an equal or higher spatial resolution than with PET.
100% Animal Visualization
MPI measures the 3D distribution of injected iron oxide nanoparticles using a 25 kHz RF signal. This signal can easily be recorded from any depth within the animal allowing complete flexiblity in choosing areas of interest.
100% User-Friendly
Bruker’s MPI System incorporates ParaVision® 6 and accommodates Bruker‘s multi-modal bed, providing a seamless transition of your animal to and from your Bruker MRI system.
Unimagined Temporal Resolution
The ability to acquire high time-resolution images in a matter of milliseconds allows for novel applications in medical and industrial research and ultimately patient care in which temporal resolution is key.
